Miss My Family A Lot
I have been living in London for 6 months now; everything is so different here compared to Scotland. I was born and brought up in Scotland but to further my studies I had to move to London as my chosen university is here.
Im really missing my family and friends, I cant wait for the half term as I plan to visit my home town and spend time with my parents. It was my birthday last week, it was my first one away from my family and friends, but my friends made sure I didnt feel sad on my birthday.
My friends organised a surprise party for me, everything was based around Scotland. They had all the boys wearing a kilt and the girls were wearing tartan dresses, it felt like I was in Mini Scotland and it felt great.
The biggest surprise and best part of the party was the recorded video messages from my family and friends from back home, it was so nice to see everyone, I felt like I was home again. Ive been watching that video every day since then, it was my way of filling the empty feeling I have inside me.
Im counting the days to the half term, I miss my family so much, and I have never stayed away from them for this long. I have been thinking about changing my university to one closer to home before I start my second year but I really dont want it to affect my studies.
